WOLSEY - The funeral service for Herman Eichstadt, 78, long-time resident of Wolsey, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. R.P. Albrecht will officiate; burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Eichstadt died Friday at St. John's Hospital.

Pallbearers will be as follows; Honorary, Carl Larsen, George Boston, Dave Wagner, August Kohlmeyer, Ricard Doering, Carl Frank; active, Bruce, Dennis, Steven and Craig Eichstadt, Douglas Halbur and Trevor Tschetter....

Herman Friedrich Eichstadt was born Jan. 5, 1887, in Brandenburg, Germany. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1902 in Iowa. He moved to the Wolsey area in 1906 and had lived there since. He married Martha Gogolin, May 1, 1918, at St. John's Church.

Survivors include his widow, Martha; eight sons, Robert, Richard, Martin, Paul, Frederick and Dale, Wolsey, Willis, Rapid City, and Mark Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Dorothy, Mrs. Fred Halbur, Huron; 31 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Liebnow, and one brother, Otto E., both of Wolsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one infant daughter.
