Betty Mae Holland, 76, of Moravian Falls passed away, Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at her home. She was born July 6, 1940, in Wilkes County to Willie Royal and Lora Lou Parker Johnson.

She was a member of the Baptist denomination and worked for many years at Santa Fe Restaurant.

Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Vent Holland; a brother, Howard Johnson; and a daughter, Debra Lynn Milam.

Surviving are two daughters, Denise Breeden and husband, Jessie, of Moravian Falls and Donna Milam of Wilkesboro; a brother, Claude Johnson of Wilkesboro; a sister, Alice Handy of Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Anthony Milam and wife, Heather, Mark Milam, Summer Hairston and Ashlyn Winebarger; and five great-grandchildren, Brooke Milam, Kaylie Milam, Tony Milam, Jamarion Hairston and Samara Hairston.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at Miller Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Darrell Handy and the Rev. Ronnie Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Scenic Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 1 until 2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.

The family has requested no flowers, but friends and family can send balloons or make memorials to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge Street, Elkin, N.C. 28621.
