Theresa (Tracy) Ann Powell, 70, passed away on August 20, 2016. Tracy was born February 17, 1946 in Littlefield, Texas. At age three, she lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas and given to "foster parents" where she remained until age 16. At that time, she came to Stillwater, Oklahoma to live with her maternal aunt and her husband, Willie Beatrice and Frankie Lee Brown. She completed her junior year of high school while in Stillwater. She then moved to Oklahoma City to stay with her Mother Freda Frances Cawthorn. Tracey "found" her father and two brothers, Cloyce L Henderson, Sr., Cloyce Robinson and Cloyce Henderson at age 20 and they remained in contact. While staying with her mother, Tracy completed high school and graduated in 1964. During her senior year, she met Willie D. McCalister and their relationship lasted 13 years. Together, they had four children; Jacqueline Christine McCalister, Gregory Donell McCalister, Wille D. McCalister Jr., and Detra Lynn McCalister. Tracy divorced Willie in 1976. In 1984 she married Clarence James Powell. She completed a clerical refresher course in 1969 and shortly after, was hired as a social worker for DHS in March of 1970. She worked for DHS for the next 28 years before retiring in 1998. Upon retirement, she began battling several health problems which required her to have open heart surgery just 3 months after retirement. She recovered from the surgery well but shortly after, she knew she needed God in her life again and was baptisted by Brother Willie Lynch at the Green Pasture Church of Christ. She was very involved with Green Pastures. Tracy and Clarence enjoyed cooking, editing the church bulletin, was a member of the ladies bible class, and sang with the choir.
