ANNA, Ill. -- Irven M. Kreitner, 87, of Anna died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at Illinois Veterans Home.
He was born June 24, 1917, in Mound City, Ill., son of Morse and Margaret Lusk Kreitner. He and Mary Louise Witzman were married Feb. 27, 1937, in Pulaski County, Ill. She died Aug. 13, 1987.

Kreitner was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 160 in Murphysboro, Ill., and Anna-Jonesboro Elks Lodge 1641.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Kreitner of Clovis, Calif.; two daughters, Donna Walters of Murphysboro, Karen Semanski of Carterville, Ill.; a sister, Della Newbury of Tempe, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a grandson and three half brothers.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna, with the Rev. Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery, with full military honors by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
