He married JANE TERRELL 25 Sep 1805 in Henry Co., Ky.
Children of ROBERT FORD and JANE TERRELL are: William, Warner, George Washington, America, Cytha, Robert, Achilles (Killes), and Jacob and 5 unknown infants.

Robert is included in a book written in 1955 by Rose Ann Howe, Genealogical Chairman of the Chicago Chapter of the DAR, titled " The Ford Family of Kentucky and Indiana with sidelines of Underwood, Walker, Terrell, Lee and Hunt" and donated to the Newberry Library in Chicago, IL.

Robert moved to Jefferson County, IN around 1809 before Indiana was accepted, in 1816, as a State of the Union.
The land he moved onto was granted to his father Warner Ford out of the 149,000 acres awarded by the Continental Congress to George Rogers Clark and his followers for military services rendered, which Warner and Robert's father-in-law, Robert Terrell were.

At the time this whole section of country was a dense, unbroken forest. Hill and valley, high land and low, were alike covered with a heavy growth of timber. Not a tree had been cut down; not a road opened; not even a foot-path marked out, except the Indian trails leading from the Ohio River back to their villages on the Wabash and other streams.

The following comes from the History of the Coffee Creek Baptist Association:

"The church of Hopewell was constituted the 16th day of May, 1829. Benj. Fewell, Sr., Ann Fewell, Rachel Fewell, James Griffey, Sallie Griffey, Achilles Ford, Robert Pearch, Polly Pearcy, Archibald Cosby, James Ford and Malinda Marshall were the constituent members. The council called for the occasion met at the house of Robert Ford at the stated time, and recognized the above-named members with the usual ceremonies as a regular gospel church, after which the little band elected a Moderator and Clerk, and arranged for future meetings."

This grave is marked with field stones; unknown location in cemetery. (Source of Information-
