Leon Acker, formerly a Western Union telegraph operator in Moline, died Monday in Chicago where he had resided for the past 25 years. Mr. Acker had been a telegrapher for the Rock Island railroad since he moved to Chicago.
He married Mrs. Ella Mummert in Moline about 30 years ago. Surviving are two sons, a daughter, and a step-daughter.
