Ruby Moss

BECKER – Ruby Geneva Ritter Moss, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at the Ozark Health and Rehab in Ozark, Ala., after a long illness. She was born April 9, 1915, in Monroe County to the late Joshua and Nobie Lann Ritter. She lived in the Becker community of Monroe County most of her life. She was a graduate of Becker High School, and a member of Becker Baptist Church and the church choir. She was a homemaker and a member of the Senior Citizens Group at the Amory Community Center. She enjoyed flower gardening and sewing. She married Ira Green Moss Sr. in 1936; he preceded her in death in 1971.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. David Jay and Bro. Mac Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Greenbrier Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Ira G. Moss Jr. and wife, Helen, of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Kay Moss Burns and husband, Wayne, of Ozark, Ala.; one brother, Flavius Ritter and wife, Joyce, of Memphis; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Nell Young; and three brothers, Enloe, Murry and Nona Ritter.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Burns, Patrick Young, Michael Moss, David Hughes, Jason Watkins and Jerry Edwards.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday.

Memorials may be made to Becker Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 83, Amory, MS 38821.
