F.G. Ritter, 95, passed away November 9, 2013 at his home. He was born May 22, 1918 in Amory, MS. Mr. Ritter is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Ritter and his son John Mark Ritter; several nieces and nephews as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army's 31st Infantry Dixie Division. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers for the past few months from Right at Home and to Amedisys Hospice Care. Services will be held Monday, November 11 at Memphis Funeral Home located at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2 p.m., with services following at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
