She was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Dora Emmert Thompson and the wife of the late Oscar Martin. She was a retired Elementery and High School teacher for 40 years, and a member of the Lyons Chapel Church of Christ. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Dimple Thompson and several nieces and nephews. Six brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
