Joyce was a 1942 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and studied Home Economics at Bowling Green State University for two years. She was a cashier at Fishers Big Wheel until retiring in 1989. Joyce married Arthur Albert and he died in July 1968. In May of 1971 she married Chester Estep Sr. and he survives in Lindsey.
Joyce was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Fremont. She enjoyed sewing, painting and genealogy.
Also surviving are her children: Cecelia Albert, Jan (Julie) Albert both of Fremont and Laura Albert of Morrisville, MO; stepsons, Chester Estep Jr. & Johnny Estep both of Fremont; siblings, Warren (Irene) Jinks of IL and Shirley Haeussler of NY. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joann Hilfiker, a brother, Willard Jinks and a grandson, Billy Adair.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 9-11 a.m. at Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Karl Haeussler officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery.
