Margaret Lenore Guthrie, 89, formerly of Boothsville passed away Thursday November 20, 2014 at The John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center in Fairmont. She was born July 13, 1925 in Monongah, WV, daughter of the late Dempsey Fleming and Olga Manette Milan Fleming Huffman. Margaret attended The Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont. She loved playing the piano and enjoyed crafting and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Jack Kirby and wife Janice of Fairmont, Edward Kirby and wife Linda of Shinnston; seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren, Bryan Kirby and wife Erin, Steven Kirby and wife Angela, David Kirby and wife Shelly, Matthew Kirby, Thomas Kirby and wife Jennifer, Timothy Holmes and wife Michelle, Jeffery Holmes and wife Laura, Abby Sandy, Megan Simpson and husband Michael; six great grandchildren, Katie Kirby, Kalea Joy Kirby, Iliana Kirby, Amalia Kirby, Dawson Kirby, Aubrie Holmes; and a brother-in-law, James Herron. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Guthrie; and a sister Dortha Jean Herron.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 25, in the funeral home with Pastor Richard Wilson officiating.
