He was a bricklayer at Snow Hill. He was paid $37.50 in May 1838 for laying 50,000 bricks and in Nov. 1841, he was paid $36.75 for laying 24,500 bricks. He helped erect the brick house on the west end in 1838 that was used as a brother's house.
