IRENE E. KILPATRICK
CUMBERLAND — Irene E. Kilpatrick, 89, of Quebec Avenue, Cumberland, died Wednesday, April 8,1998, at her residence. Born Feb. 4, 1909, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Anthony L. and Mary E. (Potts) Clay. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Kilpatrick; one son, Theodore “Ted” Hansell; three sisters, Madeline Lloyd, Nellie Jones and Rosella Winters; and one brother, Anthony S. Clay. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a former employee of the Celanese Corp., Cumberland. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Goodfellowship Ladies Auxiliary. She was a truly loving person and will be sadly missed by her caring friends and neighbors. Surviving are a special niece, Doris Nield and husband Richard, Wiley Ford. Also surviving are several other nieces and nephews. She left behind her faithful companion of eight years, her poodle Tiffy. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at I p.m. with Father Milton A. Hipsley officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery
