Anthony S Clay
Anthony S. Clay, 78, of 452 Pennsylvania Avenue, died Saturday at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born June 21, 1907 in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Anthony Leo Clay and Mary Elizabeth (Potts) Clay. He was a retired employee of the B&O Railroad, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the Goodfellowship Club. He is survived by his widow, Mary (Arnone) Clay ; one son, Richard L. Clay, Cumberland; one daughter, Mrs. Claire Mae Harbill, Denver, Colo.; one step-son, George Davis, Cumberland; a step-daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Crites, Cumberland; three sisters, Mrs. Madeline Lloyd, Mrs. Irene Kilpatrick, and Mrs. Nellie Jones, all of this city; one grandson, one great-grandchild, and four step-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home Sunday from 7 to 9 and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home by the Right Rev. David I. Dorsch. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Monday at 7 p.m.
