Brenda Faye Walters Tillotson, 58, a native of Stephens County, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2016 after eleven years of declining health. She was the wife of Gary Tillotson for 27 years and the daughter of the late Ira Odell and Dorothy Faye Walters of Toccoa, Georgia. She was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church of Burlington.

In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter, a stepdaughter, , Maw Maw to 2 wonderful grandchildren; 3 brothers and a sister.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother and had a love for people. She loved to entertain and always had someone to visit. Being a high school basketball player she loved the game and always pulled for Duke University. Other interests included her computer, games with friends and being with family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Glen Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Harold Walters and Rev. Larry Redding. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Duke Hospice and Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for all the love, support and care they showed during Brenda’s illness. They would also like to thank the countless number of friends and family who have shown Brenda such love and support during these very special times.
