Lois S. Contrastano, 85, of Farmington, beloved wife of Fred V. Contrastano, passed away peacefully on Sunday (August 14, 2016) at Bristol Hospital. Lois was born in Bristol on August 24, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Otto and Martha (Cippel) Schaefer. A longtime Bristol resident prior to moving to Farmington, she was a devout Lutheran and was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church for 40 years having served on the altar guild. In addition to her husband of 62 years, Lois is survived by her three sons: Paul Contrastano and his wife, Kathleen, Jay Contrastano, and Jon Contrastano, all of Bristol; her daughter, Lisa McCabe of Lyme; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Martino and Regina Contrastano; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters: Darline Nardini and Rita Susco, and her son-in-law: Dennis McCabe. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (August 18, 2016) at 11 AM at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 1125 Stafford Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol
