Debra K. “Debbie” Weber, 63, of Saginaw, formerly of Richville, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, August 13, 2016, at her residence. She was born November 26, 1952, in Saginaw, daughter of the late Ruben O. and Alvina (Mohr) Bierlein. Debbie was a 1970 graduate of Vassar High School and attended Delta College for two years, where she majored in Nursing.

On August 21, 1971, she was united in marriage to Charles Weber in the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville. She was employed for twenty-five years as an Activities Director at Independence Village in Frankenmuth and was currently employed at Morley’s in Saginaw. Debbie was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville and was a member of the Mary Martha Guild. She and her husband volunteered for many years with the Vassar Area Ambulance Service, enjoyed playing piano, and being part of her grandchildren’s lives was very important to her.

Surviving besides her husband Charlie are her sons and their spouses, John and Jill Weber of Reese, Adam and Devon Weber of Howell, and Michael Weber of Plattekill, NY, ten grandchildren, one great grandson, and her sister, Patricia Hecht and her husband Waldo of Vassar.

In keeping with Debbie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2017, at the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville. Rev. Rob Gadeken and Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will both officiate with private family inurnment to take place at a later date in the St. Michael’s Cemetery. Debbie’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St in Reese on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Debbie’s request was that instead of sending flowers please make a donation in her name to the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church or to her family.
