Howard Cleveland McClure, 70, of 1802 Hutching St., died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at his home.

The city fire department rescue squad was summoned to Mr. McClure's aid, but he was beyond aid when firemen arrived.

Mr. McClure was a salesman for the Davis Brick Foundry at Oak Hill, a member of the Elks Lodge in Portsmouth and a 32nd Degree Mason.

He was born March 10, 1885, in Grampian, Pa. a son of John and Hannah Johnson McClure.

Surviving are his wife, Clella McClure; five daughters, Mrs. R. R. Wieland, 2131 Baird Ave., Mrs. Edwin O. Tefs, 1711 Baird Ave., Mrs. John A. Tepas, 1824 Hutchins St., Mrs. Joseph R. Neikirk of Hickory, N. C., Miss Kathryn McClure, at home; a son Robert McClure, of Connersville, Ind.

Also surviving are a brother, T. Rex McClure, of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Caldwell, of Clearfield, Pa., and Mrs. Grace Rosser, of Leesburg, Va., and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. McClure was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Elaine McClure; his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 tonight at Dachler Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Arthur Romig officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Clearfield. Burial will be in Clearfield under direction of Leavys Funeral Home.

Friends may call at Daehler Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Howard Cleveland McClure, 70, of 1802 Hutching St., will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Clearfield, Pa.

Mr. McClure died Saturday night at his home.

Burial will be in Clearfield under direction of Leavys Funeral home there.

Funeral services here were conducted Monday night at Daehler Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Arthur Romig officiating.
