Mrs. Birdie Holmes Pippitt, 96, of Blue Springs, died Sunday at the Medical Center of Independence. She was born in Marion, Kan., and had lived in this area more than 45 years. Mrs. Pippitt was a Methodist. She leaves two sons, Paul Pippitt, Lee's Summit, and Ray Pippitt, Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Glenwild Cemetery near Cleveland in Cass County. Friends may call before services at the Runnenburger Chapel, Harrisonville.
