Sallie married James Wilkie in 1891, near Walnut Springs, Texas. Sallie, James, and Sallie's mother are living in Waco, Texas, according to the 1900 U. S. Census. Her father had died in 1892. On the 1920 U. S. Census, Sallie is married to Paul C. Miller and they are living in Dallas, with Sallie's mother. I do not know if she had any children, but there is a son listed on the 1910 census with them, but he may be an earlier son of Paul. I have photographs of Sallie with a young man, but the Miers' were not very good about labeling their photographs.
Sallie is buried here next to her husband, Paul.
Sallie's brother William Burwill is my grandfather. He worked for the railroad in Ennis and most of working life in Hearne at the railroad station there as the Station Agent. He and his wife are buried in the cemetery in Hearne.
If anyone reading this knows anymore about this family, please write me at [email protected]. I do have photos of Salie's and Paul C.'s graves. My daughter and her husband lived about a year in San Angelo and she took the photos while there. Will try to add them in the next few weeks.
It was Sallie who shared most of the family history, that is known, with my dad, Wesley S. Miers. (If you are interested in him, I have written about him on his Find A Grave Memorial Page in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA.) Sallie and I share somthing, though, we were both born on October 20.
