Robert Terrill Beale and Nancy Edna McKinsey Beale were married on 12 February 1856, in Moberly, Missouri, at the home of their parents, James McKinsey and Nancy Hume McKinsey. They soon joined the movement into Texas and located near Krum. Later, they moved to the community of Little Elm, where they spent the rest of their lives.
Their children were: Lucy Ella Beale (m. George Andrew Smith & Robert Hawkins), James (Jimmie) R. Beale (m. Eliza Jones), and Wiliam (Willie) Jefferson Beale (m. Lutie. Turner).
All are buried at Little Elm Cemetery.
