Obituary:
DIED - HOUCK - On Saturday evening, July 30, 1870, of cholera Infantum, Rosalie, youngest daughter of Isaac and Eliza J. Houck, aged about three months.
A light is from our household gone,
Dear Rosalie's sweet voice is stilled,
A place is vacant at our home,
Which never, never can be filled.
But to the home where angels are,
Dear Rosalie's happy soul has fled,
And yet we bend above her tomb,
With tears, and call our darling dead.
'Tis better thus-but oh/ 'twas hard,
To give our darling Rosalie up,
But since it was thy will, oh/ Lord,
We drink in faith the bitter cup.
