Early Life: Carolyn was born June 6, 1939, to Leland Stanford and Ellen Murdock Patten. She spent her early years with her six siblings in Provo and Idaho, was one of Orem High's first graduates in 1957, and attended Brigham Young University for two years.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On October 8, 1959, Carolyn married James Christian "Jim" Jensen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the Lindon 3rd LDS Ward since moving there in 1978. Carolyn was a doting mother to her six children and loved family camping trips with them and later, with her grandkids. She loved serving and shared her love, humor and artistic talents with many. She worked at Yellowstone National Park, as a veterinary tech, Wasatch Mental Health, and was also inducted into the Utah Archery Hall of Fame for her service. Carolyn Patten Jensen, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend, passed away August 10, 2016, in Provo, Utah, near the mountains and canyons she loved so dearly.
Family Message: "Carolyn filled all our lives with unconditional love and beauty, and we rejoice in our thanks that she shared her life with us."
Survived By: Her husband, Jim; their children: Debbie (Bill) Tasker, Jim (Allison) Jensen, Charlie (Leslee) Jensen, Chris (Wendi) Jensen, Jonathan Jensen, and Tandy (Peter) Pietro; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim Ivison; and siblings: Joan Crossen, David (Lola) Patten, and Linda (Dale) Muhlestein.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents; granddaughter, Bailey McKae Jensen (Chris & Wendi); brother, Melvin; brother & sister-in-law, Kent & Sue, and niece, Kathy; sister, Joyce; and brother-in-law, Wayne Crossen.
