Lead Singer of the pop vocal group 'The Vogues' and trademark owner from 1989-2010. He replaced the lead vocal, Bill Burkette who was part of the original 1960's four-man vocal group also consisting of Don Miller, Hugh Geyer and Chuck Blasko. In later years, Burkette and Geyer rejoined Stan's group. They are best known for their chart topping singles "You're The One", "Five O'Clock World", "Magic Town", "Turn Around, Look at Me" and "My Special Angel". In addition to touring the world, the original group appeared on American Bandstand, The Tonight Show, Shindig, The Red Skelton Show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, American Bandstand, Hullabaloo, several appearances on The Mike Douglas Show, and The Ed Sullivan Show. The original group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001. Son of the late Stanley John and Helen Marie Barkley Elich of Pennsylvania; Stanley Jr, after his death, was replaced by his son as lead vocal and trademark owner of 'The Vogues'.(bio by: RCS)
