Erma Fontella Toney, age 89, of Richmond, died Thursday morning (December 11, 2003) at Heritage House of Richmond.

She was born in Fort Recovery, Ohio on May 16, 1914 to Simeon and Florence Andrews Bright and had lived in this area most of her life.

She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Church. Her husband, Paul Vogelgesang, died in 1968.

Survivors include: Husband William J. Toney (to whom she was married 25 years), Sons Ronnie Vogelgesang of Cambridge City, Indiana, Dannie Vogelgesang of Marion, Indiana, Daughters Carrol Moak of Richmond, Virginia Fry of Richmond,
Janice Ninde of Centerville, Indiana
Bonnie Barrett of Laurel, Indiana.

Step-children John Toney of Cambridge City, Indiana, Kay Jackson of Alabama, Joan Rose of Richmond, 27 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren, 13 Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews

Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery.
