Information from the book "The Vanover Family" by Gregory Lynn Vanover, P O Box 1192, Culpeper, VA 22701:

According to family tradition, he and his wife are buried here and their son Henry is buried near them.

**I am kin to him possibly 2 different ways: He would be my GGGG grandfather through his daughter Mary Rebecca "Polly" Vanover who married Marshall "Big Foot" Mullins OR he would be a 4th GGG uncle (brother to my GGG grandmother). In the book my GGG grandmother is listed as his daughter and also as his brother Cornelius VI 's daughter.**

He and his wife died after 1870 and before the 1880 Census (they can be found in the 1870 Census but not in the 1880 Census). He was a farmer.

***Until I can research my true connection to him, I have my GGG grandmother listed and connected to Cornelius VI as her father--see her memorial # 103856600.Daniel Vanover (son of Cornelius 5) was born 1799, in North Carolina.

By 1830, Daniel Vanover and his family had migrated to Pike County, Kentucky.

He married Nancy Collins. She was born 1797, in North Carolina.

Both died after 1870 and apparently before the 1880 census was taken ( their names appear in the 1870 census but not in the 1880 census) .

He was a farmer.

According to their descendants, Daniel and Nancy
(Collins) Vanover are buried in the #3 Cemetery, Jenkins, Letcher County, Kentucky.
