Shullsburg- Funeral services for Charles Laity, 55, prominent Shullsburg area farmer and well known as a breeder of Jersey cattle, will be held at 1:30 pm Monday at his home and at 2 in the Scales Mound, Ill., Methodist church.
Rev. W.H. Howard, pastor of Lena Methodist church, and Rev. John Harris, of Shullsburg Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Scales Mound cemetery. Mr. Laity died yesterday at Shullsburg hospital after a long illness. He operated the Jersey Acres farm near Shullsburg and showed his purebred cattle throughout the area.
He leaves his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Maude Kevern, Shullsburg, and Mrs. Roxy Edge, Scales Mound, and a brother, Earl, Scales Mound.
