Lovelace, Barbara J., 79, homemaker, died Aug. 8. Services 10 a.m. Wednesday, Tuttle First United Methodist Church (Resthaven, Oklahoma City).

After 79 years of a life well-lived, Barbara J. Lovelace left her earthly home on August 8, 2016. She was born March 29, 1937 in Ft. Collins, CO to Lee and Ruth Miller. On March 24, 1956, she married the love of her life, Daniel J. Lovelace, and the two shared almost 40 wonderful years together until his death in 1995. A talented artist, Barbara enjoyed doing oil paintings of various sceneries. She had even taken college-level courses in photography and free-hand drawing, both of which she excelled in. She enjoyed traveling and music, but most of all, she loved her grandkids. She had been an active member of the Tuttle United Methodist Church since 1972 and could often be found volunteering in the church’s thrift store.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Daniel Lovelace; son, Dayne Lovelace; and brother, Virgil Miller. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, children: Darran Lee Lovelace and wife Linda, Dania R. Lovelace, and Darla J. Lovelace; grandchildren: Brandy L. Lovelace, Katy E. Lovelace, Ella G. Lovelace, Trevor M. Lovelace, and Jadin A. Williams; and longtime companion, Gene Houston.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held 10am Wednesday, August 10 at the Tuttle First United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
