Mary Jane Weaver Cartlidge passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2005. Funeral service today 1 p.m. Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial Forrest Cemetery. She was a native of Cedartown, Georgia and a resident of Etowah County, Alabama since 1945 where she served, for 35 years, as owner and operator of Daisy Barber and Beauty Shop. She was preceded in death by husbands, Ed Weaver and Buford Cartlidge and her son, Roy Weaver. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gadsden for 59 years. Mrs. Cartlidge is survived by her son, Benny (wife, Marie) Weaver; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Collier-Butler Funeral Home, Gadsden, in charge of arrangements.
