LOGAN-Thelma Isabell Jenks Clegg, 91, returned to her Father in Heave on July 20, 2002 with family and friends by her side.

She was born July 12, 1911 in Arbon, Idaho [Oneida County at the time, Power County as of 1913], the 11th of 13 children, to Lucy (Dawson) and William Wallace Jenks. She was raised in Arbon and Blackfoot, Idaho and Young Ward, Utah.

She married Thomas Clegg in the Logan LDS Temple on January 8, 1930. They lived in Logan most of their married lives in the family home built by her father.
She spent most of her life raising beautiful flowers that she loved to share with most everyone. She raised and sold corn for many years and taught her children and grandchildren to appreciate the beauties of nature and the bounties of harvest.

She held many positions in the LDS Church (her favorite being Compassionate Service Leader), and she was very dedicated to each one. She loved the gospel and our Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to serve others.

Thelma was a member of the DUP (Daughters of Utah Pioneers) Eliza R. Snow Camp for 22 years. She really enjoyed DUP and the people associated with this camp. She stopped attending DUP activities because of declining health.

Thelma is survived by her children, Wendell Clegg of Ogden; Ronda and Don Tibbitts of Logan; Margie and Dick Hymas of Logan; Clinton "Butch" and Marie Clegg of Millville; DeVar and Jan Clegg of Logan; and a special niece, June Mathews of Providence; 21 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom; her daughter-in law, Wanda Clegg; a grandson, Derrick Clegg; and her brothers and sisters.

Thelma Clegg was deeply loved by her family and she will be missed very much.

The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Todd Brown, Hospice, and the many friends and family members who helped her through her last remaining years, and a special "Thank You" to the Alan Hinkley family.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon on Thursday, July 25, 2002, at the Woodruf Ward Chapel, 940 West Three Point Avenue in Logan, with Bishop Max Steadman officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North and one hour prior to the services at the chruch. Interment will follow the services at Logan City Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 So 4th Ave, Pocatello, Idaho.
