DUNCAN - Frank Besherse, 84, of Duncan, Okla. passed away Tuesday July 7, 2015 in Duncan.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday July 11, 2015 at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Frank was born July 11, 1930 in Ringling, Okla. to William Haskell Besherse and Josephine Frances (Jones) Besherse. He graduated from high school in Claypool, Okla. He joined the United States Army after graduation, serving two years in France during the Korean Conflict. Frank worked for Halliburton Energy Services as a machinist for 37 years, retiring in 1991.
On October 8, 1999, he married Vida Thomason in Ardmore, Okla. Frank loved his family very much and enjoyed watching his grandchildren mature into fine young adults.
Survivors include his wife, Vida Besherse; one son, Bobby Besherse and wife Tanna of Duncan; one daughter, Jo Renda and husband Marty of Las Cruces, N.M.; one son-in-law, Barry Hesabi; one brother, Haskell Besherse and wife Bertha of Waurika, Okla.; two sisters, Deanna Williams and husband Jim of Ringling, Okla. and Loretta Price of Wilson.; grandchildren: Farah Cox, Melia Truelock, Ashley Helmbrecht, Shavonne Hesabi, Nicholas Hesabi, and Josh Besherse; great-grandchildren: Brookelyn Cox, Meredith Cox, Camille Cox, McCormick Truelock, and Maverick Truelock.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Barbara Lou Besherse who passed away in 1991; a daughter, Vida Hesabi; and two sisters Loritta Wingard and Helen Hart and her husband Jerry.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Baber, Greg Baber, Chris Baber, Bradley Cox, Matt Truelock and Austin Helmbrecht.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice P.O. Box 2000 Duncan 73534.
