Marvin Wesley “Buck” Massey, 89, son of Earnest Marvin and Lula (Rast) Massey was born May 20, 1927 and died August 2, 2016 at Methodist Hospice Residence after losing the battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Helen Joyce (Heflin), one son, Lucky Paul, his parents and three sisters. Buck, born and raised in Millington area, lived in Whiteville, TN and worked in the Memphis area in the automotive and/or salvage industry for over 50 years after serving in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by five children, Linda Bass (Butch), Marvin Massey (Rose), James Massey, Mark Massey, Susan McCoy (Mac), thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. He also leaves two sisters, Lynn Waterman and Peggy Chocas and one brother, Abe Massey (Peggy). Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 3 and service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 4 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following. Memorials made be sent to the Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Road in Memphis.
