Peggy Sue Smart, 90, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her home in Wyatte, MS.

Born in Grenada, MS (in the community of Pearidge), Mrs. Smart had lived in Wyatte, MS for most of her life. She was the secretary for Sears - Terminal Freight Handling. Mrs. Smart enjoyed gardening and being a part of Wyatte Baptist Church, where she played so many roles. She took great pleasure in spending time with her family and church family.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2016, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Wyatte Baptist Church, 30721 Highway 4 East, Senatobia, MS with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at Wyatte Baptist Church. Graveside service will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 at Thyatira Cemetery, located on Old Highway 4 just west of the intersection of Bett-Thyatira road. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Lee Smart and his wife Jody of Olive Branch, MS; one granddaughter, Jessica Smart; one grandson, Justin Ottinger; two great-granddaughters, Kaylee Ottinger and Madison Ottinger.

Her husband, Charles "Buddy" Smart, and parents, Clinton and Madge Thomason, preceded Mrs. Smart in death.
