Elmira C. Miller was born March 4, 1863, in Ringgold county and died at her home near Delphos on Sunday, August 29, 1897. She was married in 1881 to C. E. Hoover and to them were born four children, three of whom are yet living. She has been sick for some time with a lingeing malady, but she bore her sufferings patiently and with true Christian fortitude. The funeral services were conducted Monday by Rev. G. N. Thompson of Delphos and were largely attended. She leaves a father and mother, a husband, four sisters and four brothers to mourn her untimely death. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved relatives.
