Emma grew up on the bayou in Montegut, LA and was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge.

She was a graduate of Terrebone High School and Meadows Draughon Business College.

She passed away peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2016, at her residence.

Emma was a legal secretary with Ellison & Ellison, Attorneys at Law for thirty years. A born and raised Christian, she was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She had a passion for cooking, gardening, sewing, animals, and caring for others.

Emma is survived by her daughter, Tanya Moore and husband, Peter, of Dallas, TX; sister, Carol H. Donnes and husband, John, of Gretna, LA; brother, Allen J. Hebert, Jr., and wife, Kay, of Montegut, LA; her nieces and nephews, and her Rottweiler, Gracie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Lee Hooper, Jr.; son, Kevin Hooper, of Baton Rouge; parents, Allen Joseph Hebert, Sr., and Rita Deroche Hebert, of Montegut, LA.

Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Boulevard, Friday, August 5, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation continues Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Avenue, from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am celebrated by Rev. Miles Walsh. Entombment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum.
