Mr. Leland Crosby, 84 of Adel passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Crosby was born November 11, 1931 to the late Lessie & Pearlie Giddens Crosby. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and attended Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Judy Douty of Tifton; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother & sister in law, Thomas & Mary Jo Cowart of Adel. Mr. Crosby was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Crosby; children, John Martin, and Becky Browning; brothers, Jimmy Crosby, and Harold Crosby; sisters, Marline Esstal, Loulee Harrell, and Julia Burgess. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
