Early Life: Stan was born June 14, 1929, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clifford Etchells Cole and Ruth Margaret Christiansen Cole. A gifted athlete, he received many awards and a scholarship to Brigham Young University in football. He played football, basketball, baseball, tennis and golf at Lincoln High School in Orem, Utah, where he was known as Stan "Thumper" Cole.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Stan also loved music and singing. He served in the Utah National Guard as a Sergeant First Class. He was a master carpenter and cabinet maker and learned that trade from his grandfather, Axel Christiansen. Stanley "Stan" Christiansen Cole passed away peacefully in his home in Spanish Fork, Utah, on August 1, 2016, with his wife, Maxine, by his side.
Survived By: His wife, Maxine, sealed together in the Manti Utah Temple; his sons and daughter, Allan (Penny) Cole, Clifford (Karen) Cole, Christy (Steve) Farr, from a previous marriage to Phyllis Cox Cole; children of Maxine: Neal (Audrey) Milner, Nanette (Jim) Tadd; 19 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
