Eula Mae Green, age 84, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Sunday morning in a Collegedale health care facility. Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late Alma Cochran Gibbs and Ras Gibbs. Her husband, Clarence Winford Green, her son, Joe Gibbs, her sister, Nora Stewart and her brother, Norman Gibbs also preceded her in death. Mrs. Green worked most of her life in Carpet Mills. She enjoyed Vegetable gardening and canning. She also enjoyed snuff. Mrs. Green was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Tennga.

Survivors include her sons, Gordon Parr and his wife Gail of Orlando, Florida, Ernie Parr and his wife Jan of Chatsworth, Georgia, Wayne Green and his wife Connie of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia and Terry Green of Old Fort, her grandchildren, Melissa, Beth, Casey, Lamar, David Wayne, David Lee and London, her great grandchildren, Abigail, Katelyn, Mason, Aiden, Elias, Zachary, Savannah and Gracie, her sisters, Analou Mason of Cleveland, Geneva West of Old Fort, her brothers, Harley Gibbs and Theodora Gibbs both of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 3:00 from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery with Wayne Green, David Green, David Rogers, Casey Parr, Rufus Green and Lamar Nichols serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 8:00 Wednesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
