Betty married Roy Mac Minter on July 14, 1946 in Greenville, Texas. They had three children-Randy, Ricky, and Sabrina. Betty married Marcelan "Dick" Duncan on May 9, 1969 in Harrison County, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2003.
Betty was employed for many years by TI in Garland. She was later employed by a fabric shop in Dallas, Texas, which was special to her as she quilted and was a talented seamstress.
Betty is survived by her son, Ricky Dykes Minter and wife Barbara; her daughter, Sabrina L. Jones; her sister, Faye Purcell of Bangs, Texas; two granddaughters, Amy and Jessica; a grandson, Brian; and four great-grandchildren, Chyanne, Raven, Calab and Willow.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Randy Minter; her brothers, Dick Dykes, Tommy Dykes, and Bobby Dykes; and her sister, Mary Louise Dooley.
