Paula Gibson, 72, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016.
She was born July 6, 1944 to Bud and Pauline (McDowell) McDonell.
Paula was a Benton High School graduate, class of 1962.
She married Edward Gibson on July 12, 1972. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2015.
She was a hairdresser and had started at the age of 16.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of Carnegie Baptist Church until it closed.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, gardening, craft making, cooking and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years; and parents.
Survivors include her four children, Lonnie Gay (Gina), St. Joseph, Paula Ott (Mark), Cameron, Missouri, Carrie Till (Frank), St. Joseph and Eddie Gibson (Michelle Hazelwood), Amazonia, Missouri; eight grandchildren Hayley Gay, Dalton Gay, Courtland Ott, Nicholas Ott, Frankie Till, III, Alyssa Till, Wade Gibson and Kaden Gibson; siblings, Shirley McDonell, Mary Lewin (Roger), and Kelly Metcalf (John Frank); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Farewell Services 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Flowers are appreciated and for those wishing to make a contribution, the family requests they be made to Mosaic Life Care Hospice.
