Dora Cartledge Cobb November 26, 1916- March 15, 2007 CATAULA, GA— Dora Cartledge Cobb, 90, of Cataula, Ga., died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Cardy Edmundson, Rev. Lynn Meadows-White and Rev. Howard White officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held following the service. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus. Mrs. Cobb was born November 26, 1916 in Columbus, daughter of the late Dean and Mamie Webster Cartledge. She was a teacher for many years in the Muscogee County School System at Britt David Elementary. She was the oldest member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a member for 82 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver L. Cobb. Survivors include three daughters, Judy Cobb of Columbus, Ga., Kathy Cobb of Cataula, Ga., and Lafaye Cobb and husband Jim Goldstein of Virginia Beach, Va.; one grandson, Richard Goldstein; several nieces and nephews and many close family members.
