In 1945 she moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she worked as a hand finisher for the Gernes Garment Company for several years. She died at her home August 16, 1975. Memorial services were at D. W. Newcomer and Sons Chapel in North Kansas City, MO with burial in West Lawn Cemetery, De Kalb, Missouri.
