She was reunited with her husband of 46 years, Ernest Lynwood "Lyn" Upshaw Jr. Barbara Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Jesse Schools; and sisters, Doris Whitlock and Shirley Prince Wright.

She was an active member of Shiloh Methodist Church in Bagby, Va. for over 60 years, and prior to that, she attended St. Stephen's Church with her family in King and Queen, Va. The family will be welcoming visitors at Storke Funeral Home in Bowling Green, Va., on Saturday, July 30, from 4 to 7 p.m., with funeral services on Sunday, July 31, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Flowers are welcome, but donations can also be made to the Shiloh Perpetual Cemetery Fund. We thank you for the continued thoughts and prayers.
