Born on April 1, 1929 in Laurens County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Bertie Waites Thomas. She was married to the late B Atlas Wright for 62 years.
Mrs. Wright was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church and a former employee of Torrington in Clinton, SC.
In her 91 years, she enjoyed her travels to the fifty US states and to the Holy Land.
She was involved in square dancing and loved baking goodies. She adored her Pekingese companions over the years and cherished her family.
Survivors include her brother, Harvey “Sonny” D. Thomas, III of Lexington; many nieces and nephews to include Ashton Davis, Austin Bartley and Seth Chick who were close to her; and a lifelong friend, Betty Hedden of Orlando, FL.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Hollie Corley, Lurlene Jenkins and Olin Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at Glenn Street Baptist Church at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, September 23. Interment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
