Elizabeth Cirilo Garcia went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the age of 93 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister for St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Rosary Circle. Together she and her husband Dr. C.P. Garcia were leaders in the grassroots effort for the building of the Alamo Dome. She was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party and was a member of the Friends of McCreless Library Board. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Dr. C.P. Garcia in April of this year; parents, Constancio and Guadalupe Guerra Cirilo; siblings, Hermina "Mina" C. Rios, Elodia "Lala" C. Elizondo; Eleazar "Charlie" Cirilo, Alice C. Randell, Daniel Cirilo, Eli Anthony Cirillo, Lionel Cirilo. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Adrian A. Garcia, Dr. Libby Garcia and husband Tom DeNiro, Dr. Damian D. Garcia and wife Christine, Clotilde Marigayle Arambula and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Katherine Garcia-Sage and husband Joel, Rebecca Garcia, Christopher Garcia , Tomaso DeNiro, Nicholas Arambula, Andrea Arambula; two great grandchildren, Thomas and Evelyn Sage; sisters, Dr. Amelia "Emily" Cirilo, Emmy C. Ogletree, RosaLee C. Robinson; brothers, Manuel and Israel Cirilo; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Heritage
Oaks Mortuary on Sunday, July 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1st for Mass to be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
