Tommy Loyd Hamilton, 80, passed away peacefully in his home, Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

He will be missed by his wife of 60 years, Betty DuBose Hamilton, his son, Loyd Ray Hamilton and his wife Jana Hamilton; three grandsons, Austin Hamilton, Adam Hamilton, Alex Hamilton and many close friends and relatives.

Tommy was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brownfield where he served as Deacon. He held a commercial pilot’s license, served in the United States Army, was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge # 903, and served two terms on the Brownfield City Council. Tommy owned and operated Hamilton Auto Parts in Brownfield for 40+ years.

Tommy had a passion for inventing, flying remote control airplanes, RVing and traveling with Betty, gardening, scuba diving, fishing, and Ham Radio.

Tommy’s parents, L.E. and Eudell Hamilton, two brothers Jack Fields Hamilton and Billy Weldon Hamilton preceded him in death.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 10 am Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Brownfield Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 pm Friday, August 5, 2016 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel.
