Bob went to college at Nebraska where he played football. He and his brother Royal both played for Nebraska in the 1940 Rose Bowl, Royal as a tackle and Bob as the kicker.
Bob than played for the Green Bay Packers 1942-1944. In 1942 he played with his brother Royal who also was on the Green Bay Packers. Bob was a member of the 1944 NFL Champion Green Bay Packers in his last year of football.
Bob served his country in the military during WW2.
After he completed his military service he coached football and track at Nebraska City High School in Nebraska City, NE 1947-1948.
Bob than coached football in 1948 for Wayne State College in Wayne, NE.
Bob also coached football at Northern Illinois in 1955.
Bob died on April 16, 2013 in Palm Harbor, Florida.
