Mrs. Loretta Stanton died at her home in Gravesville on Saturday October 16th, following a stroke of apoplexy at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 10 days.

The deceased was a daughter of the late Thos. Welch and was born in the town of Stockbridge, April 6, 1856, and had lived in this county all her life with the exception of a few years spent at Powers, Mich., and at Marinette.
She was married at Chilton, June 6, 1872 to Cato Stanton, a member of Company E, of the 21st Wisconsin regiment. Her husband died in 1902.

Her funeral was held from the M. E. church at Brothertown on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Allen Pierce of Stockbridge officiating.

She is survived by a son, Benj. Stanton of Green Bay and a grandson, Adolph Stanton, who made his home with her. She is also survived by three brothers, Walter Welch of Fond du Lac, John Welch of Neopit and Arthur Welch of Deer Lodge, Mont.

Those from outside of the county who attended the funeral were Benj Stanton, Misses Maude and Levida Welch of Green bay, Mrs. Mary Clark and son, John of Randville Mich.
