The greatest dad that has ever lived, has gone to the "Happy Hunting Ground." That is what he always said when somebody passed on......even though he never hunted in his life.

He went the way he wanted to, fast and without pain. For someone with a heart that wasn't working to its fullest capacity, it was the biggest, kindest heart there ever was.

Dad grew up in Highland Boy, a small town above the Kennecott Copper mine. He always spoke so fondly of his childhood and the memories of his family. He'd always state that what they didn't have in monetary value they made up for in love and close relationships that lasted a lifetime.

Matt is having a beautiful reunion with Mary, his wife, his mom and dad, his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children Paul and Joni, (Hyon and Scott), sisters Lulu and Elma; his grandchildren, Suni, Annie, Cory, Autumn, Kaira, and three great grandchildren.

Unfortunately, his arch nemesis still grows in the neighbor's yard, shedding its leaves on his lawn. Maybe a quick chat with the "Almighty" will finally take care of that!

Dad, to say we had the best father ever is an understatement, but to say we had a lifetime of love is glorious.

The "Koom" of South Valley, the "Godfather" has moved on...

Until we see you again...

Friends may visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. A memorial service will be held at the mortuary at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
