Mrs. Emma Weidow Meck, 81, of 54 Davis Place, City, died at her home last night at 11 following an extended illness.
She was born in Lehighton, March 17, 1876, a daughter of the late Aaron and Henrietta Weidow. She was a resident of this city for the greater portion of her life. Her husband, William, died in 1939. Mrs. Meek was a member of First Reformed Church, City.
Surviving are two sons, William Weidow, at home, and Robert Weidow, Edwardsville; brothers, Harry, Scranton; George, Trucksville, and Aaron, Brooklyn, Pa.; two nephews, Thomas Weidow, Wilkes-Barre, and Howard Weidow, Kingston.
The funeral will be held from Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, City, Friday at 1.30 p. m. Rev. J. Arthur Geschwind will officiate. Interment will he in Oaklawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, 7 to 10 p. m. and Thursday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p. m.
